Fundoya

Fundoya is a long-established tabi specialty shop located at the corner of Sanjo Street and Sakaimachi Street in central Kyoto. Founded in 1864, the shop has specialized exclusively in traditional Japanese tabi socks for more than 160 years.

Housed in a beautifully preserved Kyoto townhouse with distinctive black walls, Fundoya offers a wide selection of tabi for everyday wear, kimono, tea ceremony, traditional dance, and other cultural activities. Visitors are welcome to purchase even a single pair and can try on different sizes to find the perfect fit.
